About

Startup Expo is a convention for young entrepreneurs, being organized Abhiyantriki 2017 to promote entrepreneurship. It features a plethora of events including guest lectures, elevator pitch, networking meets, panel discussions, and more.

Format & Details

• It is a two day event to be held on 6th and 7th of October 2017 at K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering. This event is being organised by Team Abhiyantriki, Riidl and Bloombox.
• Any number of Startups can participate in the Startup Expo but only top 20 startups will be selected by the internal panel.
• On Day 1(6th Oct) these 20 startups will deliver their pitch in front of a small panel. Out of these 20 startups, 5 will be selected for the next round which will take place on Day 2(7th Oct).
• On Day 2, these 5 startups will pitch in front of an elite panel(consisting of Riidl, Investors, Mentors, Co-working spaces). Points will be awarded based on certain criterias, and accordingly the winners of Startup Expo will be decided.
• Discussion time will be given on Day 2 after the 5 pitches end. In this time RiiDL or mentors would talk to startups they select and could lead to the incubators finally incubating the startup.

Accomodation

Accommodation can be provided for Startups in the campus hostel at a cost of 500 INR per 24 hours. The rooms will be on a quadruple sharing basis(4 people in one room).The rooms are Non-AC rooms. Food cost isn't included in cost of room.

However you can have food at the hostel mess at the nominal charges given below:

• Rs 40 for Breakfast
• Rs 50 for Lunch
• Rs 30 for Snacks
• Rs 50 for Dinner

Or you can also pay and have food at our canteens.
